On a warm evening in rural Honduras, María López watches a short film flicker across a whitewashed wall.

Her maize yields have been shrinking. The soil dries too quickly. Fertilizer costs keep rising.

In the film, a local farmer shows how to build compost — layering crop waste and manure to restore tired soil.

María decides to try.

One season later, her harvest fills more sacks.

Her soil holds water longer.

Neighbors begin asking how she did it.

What started with one screening becomes change across a village.

Behind the scenes, illuminAid equips local partners to create stories that spark action.

Because resilience doesn’t begin with aid, it begins with one farmer willing to try.

Your gift today puts that story in front of the next María.
