Capacity Development Program

Capacity Development Programs are designed to empower local teams.

Through a year-long engagement, illuminAid supports partner organizations in becoming fully autonomous in video production. With new skills and equipment, teams can independently integrate video and mobile projection into programs and proposals without costly external support.

The goal is to embed video as a core part of organizational communication, with staff confident in creating and using video for behavior change programming.

The capacity development program includes: 
  • Strategic consulting on integration and workflow design from illuminAid leadership
  • Scheduled virtual check-ins for troubleshooting, coaching, and skills reinforcement
  • Monthly support from Local Video Trainers in-country
  • Access to illuminAid’s global network of trained video professionals
Together, illuminAid and partners establish a 12-month implementation plan during the workshop to guide sustained video production.

Ongoing support includes remote assistance via phone or Zoom, plus in-person follow-up from Local Video Trainers during the first three months. To reinforce learning, organizations are supported in producing three videos and hosting three community screenings within the first quarter after training.

illuminAid also provides quarterly technical follow-ups for one year to support adoption, troubleshoot challenges, and strengthen implementation. Additional support is available for scaling pilots, procuring equipment, and training new staff as programs expand.
