SKY Girls Nigeria

Since December 2024, illuminAid has shipped 45 projector kits and 60 voice amplification kits to our partners working in Nigeria to be used in after school girls clubs. These clubs operating in the capital of Lagos and nearby in Kaduna are part of the SKY Girls program, which seeks to empower young women and girls through education and creative expression and is currently active in 6 African countries. SKY Girls is already equipped with their own video content, though through illuminAid’s virtual training and equipment procurement, they have been able to accelerate learning and engagement in their clubs. The program is also participating in a randomized control trial conducted by external evaluator Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Nigeria (results pending).
