ROLE DESCRIPTION

We seek an experienced Fundraising Manager to work alongside the executive team and implement the organization’s comprehensive plan to achieve revenue goals. This position is a key member of illuminAid’s executive team and integral to helping illuminAid fulfill its mission. We are seeking a unique, passionate individual to fulfill the outreach needs of our nonprofit company and who will participate in our mission to change the world with video technology.
Reporting to and working with the Founder/Executive Director, you will be an integral part of implementing our fundraising strategies to scale our work worldwide, and will:
  • Work closely with the Founder/Executive Director to cultivate and solicit an assigned portfolio of international Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking outcomes and next steps.
  • Manage the outreach and negotiation functions, including accurately recording activity in our Customer Relationship Management Software (Salesforce)
  • Participate in strategy meetings to overcome objections and close deals.
  • Collaborate on the research, submission, and tracking of detailed proposals and reports; Draft and copy edit Concept Notes, proposed budgets, and reports.
  • Manage and cultivate your own account list of high-value clients, which will include research, identifying, ranking, and assisting with the cultivation of new prospects.
  • Carefully track all development activity in Salesforce CRM, running weekly reports to monitor engagement and e-mail response trends.
  • Draft and manage the production and distribution of outbound email messaging, maintaining accurate prospect list segmentation.
  • Maintain own current calendar of appointments, meetings and deadlines
  • Travel to developing countries

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for our mission, and help the world’s poorest people to lift themselves out of poverty.
  • 2+ years nonprofit development experience OR sales account management experience
  • Occasional travel to major cities in the USA, possible travel internationally
  • Fluency in Google Workspace and Google Workspace required. Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce), or the ability to easily learn new and unfamiliar software and technology desired
  • Confident and flexible contributor with stellar organizational skills who is experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects/activities involving multiple stakeholders
  • An aptitude for interpersonal rapport building and working collaboratively
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Ability to self-manage and follow through to ably and reliably meet multiple, concurrent deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Professional video teleconference demeanor for early morning calls.
  • Driver’s license and personal automobile

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
