Join Our Team as Partnership Development Officer at illuminAid!

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is essential in bridging Programs, Operations, and Development while leading our mission-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Champion illuminAid’s mission, vision, and values, building strong relationships with stakeholders, staff, volunteers, and board members.
  • Implement and refine the strategic plan, ensuring long-term sustainability and programmatic excellence.

 Fundraising & External Relations

  • Implement fundraising efforts Including, grant proposals, individual and corporate donor meetings both established and prospective, fundraising reports, and relationship-building.
  • Develop and strengthen programmatic partnerships, expanding our global reach and funding opportunities.
  • Work with the Executive Director  to ensure that budgets are clear, accountable and balanced. 

Program Oversight & Impact

  • Lead program operations and evaluation, ensuring effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate organizational meetings and implement program policies 

Team & Culture Development

  • Oversee future recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development to enhance staff capabilities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and cultivate a supportive and recognition-driven workplace.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of nonprofit leadership experience with a track record of successful program and fundraising management.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
  • Knowledge of video production experience preferred.
  • International travel experience (ability and willingness to travel to developing countries for up to 10 Company Description
    
    illuminAid is a mission-driven organization that empowers communities in developing nations through low-cost video content to address global challenges such as public health, disaster management, education, and hygiene. Each member of our small agile team wears many hats. illuminAid has trained over 600 NGO workers in 28 countries, partnering with organizations like the UNICEF, CRS , CARE and World Vision. The organization is dedicated to providing equipment, expertise, and innovative tools to amplify the reach and impact of behavior-change communication strategies. By enabling local individuals to create videos tailored to their communities, illuminAid is making tangible impacts in some of the world's poorest regions.
    
    
    Role Description
    
    This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Executive Director based in Chico, CA. The Associate Executive Director will provide executive-level support to drive organizational goals, assist in strategy development and execution, oversee daily operations, and help foster relationships with key partner organizations. Responsibilities include managing projects, evaluating program effectiveness, overseeing resource allocation, leading and mentoring teams, and supporting fundraising initiatives. The role also involves representing the organization in community and partnership-building activities.
    
    
    Qualifications
    
    Leadership and management experience to oversee teams, delegate tasks, and guide organizational initiatives effectively.
    Strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to drive organizational goals and manage operations efficiently.
    Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills for partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including global NGOs and organizations.
    Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and managing budgets is highly desirable.
    Background in program evaluation, project management, or international development projects is preferred.
    Experience with video production, technology in education, or behavior-change communication strategies is an asset.
    Bachelor’s or advanced degree in nonprofit management, business administration, international development, or a related field is preferred.days at a time to oversee our video workshops).
  • Strategic and operational leadership skills, with experience in staff development, program evaluation, and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, oral, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database management.
  • Multicultural competency; Spanish or French language skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Full-time, exempt position with occasional evening/weekend hours.
  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience.
  • Hybrid work model (85% in-office, 15% remote or travel).
